You will be the welcoming personality at the front desk, helping to schedule medical appointments, check students in and provide necessary information about the visit process.
Under the supervision of the Office Manager, the Front Office Coordinator serves as the welcoming first impression of the Student Health Center, performs medical office tasks and clerical duties and coordinates patient care.
Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma required.
Minimum two years experience in a medical setting.
Training and experience in clerical and office tasks.
Experience working with the public, including telephone answering, medical scheduling, and customer service.
Basic computer skills in word processing and database management and ability to learn new systems.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to handle confidential material.
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
Associate's Degree preferred.
Previous employment experience with medical terminology and medical office procedures.
Experience with electronic medical records.
Demonstrated ability to establish rapport with young adults.
Commitment to promoting diversity and a welcoming campus climate.
Ability to support students with limited English proficiency.
Knowledge of billing procedures.
