Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and performing various administrative and clinical tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
ResponsibilitiesFollow up with patients and ensure timely updates.Accurately enter patient data and updates into the system.Answer inbound phone calls and provide excellent customer service.Order lab tests and relay lab results to patients.Schedule follow-up appointments with patients.Triage patient concerns and direct them appropriately.Provide clinical support as needed.Essential SkillsBilingual 1+ year experience in Medical Assisting.Medical Assisting diploma, certification, or 1+ years MA experience preferred.High School Diploma.Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), specifically Athena.Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.Proficiency in ordering labs and managing patient care.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in appointment scheduling and front desk operations.BLS certification is a plus.Understanding of insurance processes.Work Environment
This position requires working onsite at a clinic from Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm. You will be part of a supportive team that values employee recognition and offers opportunities for pay raises based on performance. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401K plans, as well as holiday pay (6 paid holidays). Upon permanent employment, you will receive 9 paid holidays and 15 days of PTO. Exceptional performance may earn you additional PTO tokens. The work environment also includes frequent team lunches, dinners, and parties.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
