Job Description
Back up to the FSQA Manager/SQF PractitionerOversee the implementation, review, and maintenance of the SQF System, including food safety fundamentals outlined in 2.4.2 and the food safety plan outlined in 2.4.3Assures that quality & regulatory systems are managed, continuously reviewed, and improved for compliance and operating efficiencies.Helps to ensure that all personnel are trained, and the site training program (Alchemy)is well integrated.Ensure compliance with all applicable Customer and USDA regulations.Helps Lead Food Safety Culture Program, Food Security and Safety.Involved with Management Reviews and SQF Updates.Provide guidance to site on quality compliance standards and expectations.Oversees internal and external audits along with customer complaints.Responsible for CAPA, Traceability, Product and Equipment Hold Programs.Oversee compliant document management and retention programs.Ensure site-wide training documentation is adequately maintained and retrievable.Help Manage the Vendor Management Files (Foreign and domestic suppliers)Generate and maintain site quality system metrics.Help author, review, and approve applicable, SOPs, Investigations, year-end inventory numbers, etc.Oversee training Service Providers and ContractorsPerform other duties as assigned.


Work Experience
SQF Certified5+ years' in quality assurance and/or food regulatory knowledge.Knowledge of GMP/USDA/FDA/SQF regulations.Progressive roles within quality organizations with proven history of success.Strong communication skills and demonstrated team building success.Creative conceptual thinker with strong analytical and critical thinking skills; comfortable with technical issues.Decisive with a bias to action.Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with employees at all levels of the organization.Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time using effective organizational skills and judgment in an environment of frequently changing circumstances.Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of applications; specifically using Word to create and modify documents, Excel to record data and calculate results, and Outlook to communicate internally and externally.45% of the time will be standing and sitting in an office environment.55% of the time will be on the production floor, which will include exposure to chemicals, cold (40 degrees) and a wet working environment.Will be exposed to raw product (meat) and meat processing machines.Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, (Excel, Access, Power Point), data entry and general computer abilitiesMust be able to travel to our Madison, WI location twice a month.
