FSR - DSESTS (M1/M2)
**Purpose:** This position is the Subject Matter Expert oversight on all System of Systems repairs, inspections and the integration and implementation of line replaceable units and other components utilized on combat vehicles on-site as well as remotely. Identifies isolates, troubleshoots, and repairs malfunctions using appropriate procedures and applicable technical manuals, TMDE, and tools. This position also requires previous MOS 41C/91G experience utilizing DSESTS (Direct Support Electrical Systems Test Set) to run off-system diagnostics tests and isolate faults on the M1A2 Abrams tanks and M2A3 Bradley fighting vehicle LRMs. Maintain and/or repair laser range finders, ballistic computers, laser observation devices, laser designators, thermal imaging systems, periscopes, telescopes. Maintain and/or repair commander’s weapon station/auxiliary sights, aiming circles, image transfer assemblies, quadrants, mount assemblies, fire control support equipment. Maintain and/or repair test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment. Perform battlefield damage assessment and repair. The individual will also instruct and guide a task team to troubleshoot and resolve technical or functional operation or repair issues on-site and remotely. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** + Troubleshoots and isolates system malfunctions utilizing technical manuals, schematic diagrams, special and standard electronic and mechanical TMDE. + Performs corrective maintenance on previously diagnosed malfunctions on fire control systems used in combat vehicles, off-carriage lasers, designators, thermal sights, and night vision devices. + Designs, fabricates, and adapts tools and fixtures to facilitate further fire control instrument repairs or as new types of fire control equipment is adopted by the Army. + Must be able to clearly instruct other personnel in various locations in the proper troubleshooting and repair maintenance procedures and capabilities of fire control LRU instruments and TMDE either in person or through remote maintenance capabilities by means of computer systems controlled from remote locations. + Maintains a daily timesheet and daily manning report and ensuring times are accurate. + Expected to be a quality champion by promoting, mentoring, and presenting quality as a means for product improvement and efficiency and in accordance with applicable Army Regulations and Technical Manuals. + Responsible for the development and implementation of standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation in conjunction with our customers guidance, Army Regulations 750-1, 750-8, and associated regulatory requirements. + Required to provide the workforce or assigned personnel with a teaching, coaching, and mentoring process. + Ensures strict compliance to safety practices and support the Safety Policies and Procedures. + Instills a safety-first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries. + Adheres to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of Quality Management System. + Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested. **Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:** **Education:** + High School diploma or equivalent. **Experience:** + 6 years of specialized experience in senior level maintenance working on M1A2 and M2A3 digital electronics. + The Field Service Representative should be familiar with the following Line-Replacement Units/Modules repair and replace functions on the M1A2 and M2A3: + Power Control Modules 1 3 + Digital Video Distribution Box + Hull Power Box + Turret Power Box + Position Interface Box + Gun Control Unit + Inertial Navigation Unit + Gun Elevation Drive + Target Acquisition System + Commanders and Gunners Sight Control Panels + Commanders and Gunners Hand Station + Armaments (performs maintenance and on-board direct support) + Fire extinguisher/suppression systems (Fire Control System) **Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:** + Must have thorough knowledge of the M1A2 and M2A3 digital electronics to include the complete command and control system that includes the Commanders Independent Thermal Viewer, the Under Armor Auxiliary Power Unit, Inter-Vehicle Information System, and the Thermal Management System. + Must have thorough knowledge of all special Test, Measurement, Diagnostic, and Equipment to complete work orders on M1A2 and M2A3. + Must possess the ability to prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and interact at all levels with customers and workforce. + Must have the ability to analyze, interpret and verbally articulate U.S. Army Technical Manuals with relation to maintenance and repair in person and remotely. **Preferred Qualifications:** + International driver’s license prior to deployment preferred. **Certification, License & Clearance:** + Valid US Driver’s license required. + US Citizenship required. + Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a CAC, if required. **Facility credentials/authorization required** : Must be able to obtain and maintain facility and credential /authorization: Note- US Citizenship is required for facility credential/authorization at this work location. **Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:** + Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively. + Must be able to lift 50lbs. + Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures. + Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions. + When performing work, responsible for adhering to environmental, safety, and health standards related to the activity, including the wearing of all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). **Other Responsibilities:** Safety – Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
