As a part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Health Services team the Health Coach helps Church workforce members transform and improve their lives. The Health Coach works with Church workforce members to make behavioral changes to improve health status, reduce health risks, increase energy, and improve quality of life. They partner with participants and guide them through the process of achieving their individual health and wellness goals through frequent coaching sessions. The Health Coach also collaborates with fellow team members in creating content (education resources, courses, presentations, handouts, articles, etc.) that will help Church workforce members globally to have the energy to be their best for the things that matter most and to keep pace with a hastening work.
The Health Coach develops and implements behavior change tools and resources along with counseling / guiding / assisting participants in making and sustaining behavior change.
Work Hours: Flexible hours anytime between 6:00 am and 7:00 pm, Monday thru Friday, 40 hours per week
The full-time, 12-month Health Coach Intern reports to the Sr. Manager of Health Services. This position helps manage the day-to-day administrative duties for health coaching and all services provided through the on-site wellness center. They also support the Sr. Manager of Health Services in the onboarding of incoming health coach interns on how to properly coach, train, and serve the church workforce.
Must be currently enrolled (or recently graduated in the last year) as a full-time student at a university or college in a related field or be within 12-months of receiving a relevant certification. Must commit to 12-month internship.
