Thirty years ago Cater to You Food Service began providing lunch programs to independent schools. Today, CTY prepares more than 13,000 fresh meals daily for students ranging from pre-schoolers to high school seniors. Our wholesome offerings are always created on-site, from scratch, using better-for-you premium products. Cater to You Food Service is looking for enthusiastic and committed team members to help us grow + continue to create better-for-you food for school children.

$16.50 / hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM with an unpaid lunch break. There are many after hour events throughout the year that team members are expected to work.
What you'll be doing: Preparing the early childhood cafeteria for service Serving students during lunch time Ensuring that allergy friendly meals are being served to the correct students. Maintaining a full and clean service line during lunch time Cleaning and sanitizing the service line and bussing station during and after lunch time. Packing the daily snacks for the student population Delivering morning snacks to the classroom every morning Packing and delivering the after school snacks every day. Assisting the kitchen team with cold food item preparation Assisting the kitchen with any dish cleaning and organizing daily Adhering to Cater To You uniform policy
Storage organizer/server expectations
Assisting the kitchen with food preparation Providing service to all faculty and students Replenishing hot lines and salad bars as needed Event set up and execution when needed. Assist all other team members with any food preparation and cleaning needed in the kitchen Putting away deliveries and orders Organizing storage rooms Ensuring items are properly labeled and stocked What we're looking for:Job requirements
All food prep will be done up to the NYC department of health code. All work will be done in adherence to all cater to you policies. Flexible schedule regarding weekends/overtime The ability to lift and move 50 pounds General understanding of kitchen operations Must be able to navigate stairs throughout the day as we have multiple dining room areas we service Should have experience engaging with dining guests.

At least 18 years of age
Nice-to-haves:
At least one years’ experience in a foodservice environment
