Robert Half is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level & Staff Accountants to join our Full-Time Engagement Professionals (FTEP) team. As a Staff Accountant in our FTEP program, you will have the unique opportunity to work on diverse and dynamic accounting projects across different industries, enhancing your skills and broadening your experience. This full-time, salaried position provides stability while offering variety, training, and career growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards.
+ Perform month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations of accounts (bank, inventory, prepaid, etc.).
+ Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, as well as variance analysis.
+ Maintain and reconcile the general ledger by researching and correcting account discrepancies.
+ Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions as needed.
+ Support audits (internal and external) by providing requested documentation and analysis.
+ Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments in accordance with GAAP.
+ Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth accounting operations and timely reporting.
+ Participate in ad hoc projects and tasks assigned during each engagement.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
+ 2+ years of relevant accounting experience (general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting).
+ Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles.
+ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software/systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP) is preferred.
+ Detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
+ Ability to work independently and adapt to new industries, systems, and processes quickly.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and establish professional relationships.
