Fuel Distribution System Worker
Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the Certain Competitive Service / Modified Direct Hire Authority. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. #LI-NAVSUPFLCSD Responsibilities You will receive and transfer fuel by coupling and uncoupling hoses, closes and opens valves, starts and stops pumps, and monitors gauges, meters and filter separators. You will operate and maintain a complete fuels distribution system(s) to receive, store, transfer, and issue both aviation and ground fuels. You will operate one or more type of special purpose design aviation and ground fuel-tank truck vehicles having a capacity of up to 10,000 gallons and gross vehicle weight in excess of 100,000 pounds. You will transport fuel from the bulk storage area to the flight line issue point and position the vehicle for the refueling/de-fueling task as required. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: The ability to perform the work of a WG-5413-08, Fuel Distribution Systems Worker, as demonstrated by experience, working under close supervision as directed by higher graded personnel performing the following: receiving, storing, transferring, dispensing fuels, operating work stations or portions of a larger fuel distribution system, operating gasoline and diesel powered refueling vehicles, complying with established regulations for handling fuel; complying with laws and regulations to handle Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), and I possess a Class A CDL with Air Brakes, HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements. Education There is no education requirement or substitution for this position. Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
