Fuel Supply Analyst

Position Summary: This position supports the Energy and Fuel Supply department by analyzing and maintaining an accurate price of fuel and accounting cycle of all fuel purchase activities. This role will assists in data preparation for both Internal and External customers. 
This position is located at our Corporate offices in a beautiful country setting 7 miles South of Reading, PA which is a convenient commute with ample free and easy parking.

Major Responsibilities: Fuel • Maintain and control pricing contracts • Distribute best buy costs for fuel to customers and locations • Identify secondary suppliers and establish relationship with these vendors  • Oversees winter additive compliance testing program by publishing program on website, assures testing compliance and follows up to correct quality issues.  • Maintain and recommend throughput forecasts for supply balance on weekly vendor calls. • Address contract vs invoice price discrepancies when escalated by fuel settlement  • Maintain intranet information on fuel  • Coordinate setting up a new vendor for fuel and DEF suppliers and carriers  • Ad hoc data analysis and dash boards requested by  • Escalation for back up supply issues  • Escalation for managing fuel allocation  • Update AS400 winter additive cost  • Perform market survey for DEF pricing  • Adding and deleting new locations in the fuel location master • Set up bulk fuel customer
Fuel Card      • Assist in managing the Comdata fuel card program  • Answer ad hoc fuel card inquiries from customers, Comdata and field operations  • Update intranet information regarding fuel card program  • Assist in fuel card project roll outs and testing  • Reconcile fuel card payments from fuel card providers and truck stop companies • Maintain truck stop files  • Maintain fuel service online directory    Produce, publish and maintain specialized petroleum reports • Price maintenance files. • Daily terminal and carrier lifting reports. • Location cost reports • Various supply performance reports.                                              • Utilize DTN, TelaPoint, AS400, ProphetX, Access, Excel, and Word as necessary for information. • Maintain and develop queries to extract data from various systems to support business/financial analysis of fuel projects. • Develop and automate customer KPI dashboards within Qlikview. • Implement Market-Based Pricing, develop sound rules in conjunction with management, and manage fuel price exceptions for all PTL full-service fuel locations. • Ad hoc reporting as required by Fuel Team, external Customers, Sales Associates and Field Associates.  • Interpreting complex request from customers through investigation and follow-up. • Other projects as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting is preferred• Minimum of 1 - 3 years in accounting or analytical on-the-job experience is required. • Must possess strong problem solving and analytical skills and enjoy a work environment that requires management of highly detailed information.• Ability to change priorities quickly to meet the various demands of the volatile petroleum industry.• Must possess superb listening and communication skills. • Proficiency in computer software programs such as Excel, Word, and Access required.• Ability to quickly grasp outside vendors user type.• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
