Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will perform a range of activities to receive, transfer, and issue fuel and liquid oxygen and nitrogen. You will operate pumps, filters, valves, and pipelines. You will read meters and gauges. You will operate refueling vehicles up to 35 tons. You will document all activity using basic math to calculate the amount of product received and issued. You will use calibration charts to convert product quantities from feet to gallons and adjust for temperatures. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the WG-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have the ability to perform common tasks including operating pumps, filters, valves, and pipelines to receive, transfer, and issue fuel and/or liquid oxygen and nitrogen products; reading meters and gauges; ensuring safety and procedural checks are followed; complying with laws and regulations for handling fuels; using hand tools; wearing required personal protective equipment or clothing. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. This position requires exposure to high noise levels. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
