Fulfillment Operator

SWBC is seeking a talented individual to processes packages and certified mail to meet USPS postage standard. Will be responsible for ensuring all sorter machines and printers are fully operational.

Essential duties include the following:

Sorts and batches incoming mail and open envelopes by hand or machine and scan into scanning platforms.Processes incoming and outgoing envelopes and packages from services such as United Parcel Service and Federal Express, and any overnight delivery.Operates postage meters and scales.Conducts routine maintenance on mailroom equipment and keep the copiers and printers supplied with paper and toner.Ensures packages are processed to meet all customer deadlines.Prints end-of-day report and create logs for billing.Ensures certified mail is accurately labeled according to the proper destination.Ensures the work area is free of hazards and clean of debris.General warehouse and other duties as assigned.Attention to detail.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Organizes and logs every part in inventory.Monitors the sorter machines/Printers throughout the daily production.Logs and monitors weekly/monthly cleaning of all the machines/printers.Tests all machines after every service to ensure they are fully operational.Manual handling and inspection of printed material to ensure mail is sorted by the grouping.Certifies that sorted mail is labeled and stacked correctly in trays and all mail pieces are facing the label direction on bin.Works with other departments to ensure job schedules are maintained and customer expectations are exceeded.

Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalency with the ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions.At least two to three (2-3) years of general office or related experience. Mailroom experience with warehouse type setting repairing preferred.Excellent organizational skills, a high degree of confidentiality and attention to detail.One (1) year of mail sorter and/or printer maintenance experienced preferred.Able to operate basic office equipment, copy machine, mailroom equipment, and fax machine.Working knowledge of PC’s, Microsoft Office Word and Excel, and be able to type 35 WPM accurately. Able to lift and move at least 40 pounds of mail tubs.Able to stoop, kneel, and push and pull hand truck.Able to work standing up for extended periods of time. Able to be exposed to low-medium noise levels generated from mail room machinery and equipment.Cooperative and team-oriented attitude.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Dependable, able to follow instructions and respond to management direction.Maybe be exposed to dust.Extended work shifts may be required due to business needs and the flexibility to work overtime.Mechanical aptitude and experience with preventive maintenance in production machinery.Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relations.Organized and proactive.Inventory management knowledge.Printing and mail experience a plus.Microsoft Office and Outlook skills.
