Fulfillment Pharmacy Demand Planner - Express Scripts - Hybrid

POSITION SUMMARY

The Pharmacy Demand Planner is responsible for assisting in demand planning, inventory optimization and supply planning for one or more Express Scripts Mail Order Pharmacy locations.  This includes primarily assisting in data entry as well as analyzing, monitoring and identifying trends for demand and supply planning of all drug products.  The Planner will work within Oracle EBS and utilize Demantra for demand planning.  The primary goal of the Planner will be to assist in maximizing patient service levels and maximizing inventory investment.  Additionally, this role will learn the tools available to Planners to maximize forecast accuracy using advanced forecasting methods in Demantra supplemented by planner over-rides where necessary.  As a Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate settings for the long-term plan for auto-generated Purchase Orders and optimizing Inventory levels, is executed.  Day to day interactions with other planners, commercial and DoD buyers, commercial and DoD purchasing managers, drug file, drug sourcing and site operations. 

This position is in office aligned and will require the flexibility to perform onsite 3 days per week at one of the following facilities: 

Tempe, AZFlorence, NJSt. Louis, MOWhitestown, IN

Primary Functions

Execute day to day planning changes as directed by Planning Manager. Consult business partners and adjust as necessary within guidelines.Utilize exception based data and reports to make manual adjustments to forward looking forecast based on direction/SOPs.Validate data to achieve optimal inventory and service levels that support expected volume and maximize patient on time delivery goals, as directed.Make changes to demand and supply parameters within the Oracle system, in partnership with planning team.Support future implementation of Sales and Operations planning initiatives.

Key Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; BA/BS preferred4+ years relevant experience; i.e., purchasing (preferred), demand planning, financial planning/analysis, forecastingDetail oriented with a high sense of accuracy in reportingStrong communication (oral and written), organization, and time management skills requiredDemonstrated analytical capabilitiesAbility to work in a fast paced environment meeting competing timelines/deadlinesAbility work under minimal supervisionProficient using MS Office software, specifically Excel (pivots, v-lookups, etc.)Working knowledge of Oracle EBS, DemantraAPICS certification beneficial, not requiredEstimated travel up to 10% base on business needs
