Description We are in search of a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will handle an array of administrative tasks, focusing on accounting activities. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity in the manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications
• Maintain up-to-date, complete, and accurate customer credit records
• Conduct monthly reconciliation of all accounts
• Deliver reliable and high-quality financial reports
• Perform accounts payable functions including reviewing, coding, and processing payments
• Handle accounts receivable functions such as invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition
• Communicate effectively with customers and suppliers
• Assist in purchasing activities and maintain a balanced general ledger
• Identify and implement improvements in processes and systems
• Maintain office supplies and equipment
• Manage relationships with third-party software providers, particularly with Sage
• Handle new hires and onboarding processes
• Process payroll and maintain the employee handbook
• Manage annual renewals and assist employees with medical insurance
• Coordinate with various employee benefits including IRA plan, HSA accounts, birthdays, and work anniversaries
• Assist in managing business insurance including GL and Work Comp, annual renewals, annual audits, insurance claims, and maintaining vendor certificate of insurance
• Maintain state & local business licenses, prepare sales & use tax returns, maintain Secretary of State annual reporting, maintain vehicle registrations, prepare year-end 1099’s, and assist in reporting for annual income tax return. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required
• Must be highly skilled in Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrable experience in performing Accounting Functions
• Capability to manage Accounts Payable (AP) effectively
• Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential
• Must possess skills in Cash Flow Analysis
• Proficiency in Payroll management is required
• Knowledge of Sage 50 is a must
• Experience in Shipping procedures is necessary
• Must have experience in Shipping & Receiving coordination
