Full Charge Bookkeeper
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing client's financial records, ensuring precision, compliance, and timely reporting. Your work will involve various accounting functions, managing accounts payable and receivable, and coordinating with our payroll processing department. Responsibilities: • Oversee the accuracy and completeness of financial records using QuickBooks Desktop (Enterprise) and QuickBooks Online. • Handle the processing of invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely and accurate manner. • Conduct the preparation and posting of journal entries, including adjustments and accruals. • Perform monthly reconciliation of bank and credit card statements. • Generate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, etc.). • Work in collaboration with the payroll processing department to ensure proper recording of payroll transactions in the financial books and records. • Manage general ledger and carry out month-end closing procedures. • Provide support for audits and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. • Develop and maintain complex Excel spreadsheets to track financial data and create custom reports as needed. • Oversee fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries. • Ensure timely and accurate sales tax filings and other tax filings. • Work with team members in the payroll and tax departments to ensure smooth financial operations and resolve any discrepancies. Requirements Candidates should meet the following minimum qualifications: + 7-10+ years of experience working as a Full Charge Bookkeeper, or in a similar capacity. + Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop (Enterprise) and QuickBooks Online. + Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and maintain complex spreadsheets. + Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and relevant financial regulations. + Experience in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions. + Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. + Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. + Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. + Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information. + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field would be great, but is not required.
