We are excited to be hiring for a Program Assistant to join our team, and help provide personal care, as well as facilitate therapeutic group activities for our clients.

Our Program Assistants:

Determine clients’ situation and needs by establishing rapport with clients; collaborating with client, caregiver and team members to establish service goals and plans. Maintain continuity of care by communicating changes in client condition to team members. Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, addressing potential safety and health hazards, and follow emergency policy and procedures. Promote client independence, education and recreation by developing and facilitating activities according to clients’ abilities and interests, encouraging interaction and participation. Develops a safe, therapeutic group environment by establishing and keeping group rules. Monitor and encourage appropriate participation; intervening as necessary. Assist with kitchen duties including; preparation of meals, dishwashing, and serving food to clients. Assist with clients' activities of daily living including, bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting. Perform other activities as assigned.

What you need to succeed:

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. One or more years of experience working in a health or social services setting preferred. Must complete the HIV/AIDS information course. Employees are required to receive an annual influenza vaccine unless granted a medical or religious exemption.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift 25 lbs. and support clients’ mobility.
