Overview BigBear.ai is seeking a Java Full Stack Back End Developer with cloud experience to join our team to begin an exciting and challenging career in Ashburn, VA. What you will do Working closely with the tech lead and senior developers, the Java Backend Developer will participate in the system architecture design, development, integration testing and validation, and all aspects of the software life cycle (requirements to design to implementation to test) for a java back-end application involving extensive Messaging and Transaction processing Must be hands on and be able to design and develop Java code as dictated by project requirements as needed The candidate will be expected to learn and adhere to the continuous integration, automated unit testing and other AGILE practices established within the team using the tools that are currently used by the team The candidate is expected to diagnose and fix issues in existing application components as part of maintenance What you need to have BS Degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc) 5+ years of strong Java J2EE/JEE design and software development experience including designing, programming, and documenting large-scale software systems Demonstrated expertise with Java, Java Frameworks (Spring), Object-Oriented Design and development principles; and Java Application Servers such as WebLogic or Apache Tomcat; and relational databases such as Oracle or DB2 Extensive skills in JPA\Hibernate and strong SQL skills is required for this position Knowledge of design patterns Demonstrated expertise in software engineering practices (e.g., reading/generating software specs, design patterns, continuous integration) Demonstrated ability to incorporate rigorous Unit testing as part of development activities is essential Spring boot/AWS cloud experience with Docker and Kubernetes Gitlab/JIRA/Jenkins for CI/CD Web services XML Unix/ Linux JPA\Hibernate What we'd like you to have First-hand experience working with large project teams (working with the Federal Government a strong plus) Demonstrated ability to think critically and creatively to develop innovative solutions to software problems Agile development experience a plus IBM MQ, JMS, EJB, MDB and other JEE technologies Demonstrated ability to incorporate Unit testing as part of development activities Gitlab/JIRA/Jenkins for CI/CD About BigBear.ai BigBear.ai is a leading provider of AI-powered decision intelligence solutions for national security, supply chain management, and digital identity.
