A Senior Application Engineer Consultant with strong expertise in the development and maintenance of enterprise level, Java JEE based systems. The candidate will be part of a team responsible for developing and maintaining the KYCView application used by our Compliance business.  Duties will include designing and developing new application features / code within the existing application framework, and researching, identifying, and devising solutions for software defects within the application.   KYCView is written in Java 7.0, and involves the integration of JEE 6, web services, Oracle, IBM BPM and ODM, and MQ.  Demonstrated expertise in analyzing and understanding existing application architectures, and developing solutions within a pre-existing framework, is a must.  
Responsibilities:Design and development of enhancements within KYCView application frameworkResearch and resolve defects during all phases of the software development cycleSupport and execute functional and performance testingAssists in troubleshooting production environment and tuning the environmentsProvides guidance on infrastructure and environment setupEnsures technical best practices are followed during all phases of the projectProvides guidance on intended solution and best practices during development, configuration and testing phasesPerforms code reviews and ensures standards are applied to each solution componentQualifications:Strong, disciplined analytical and problem-solving skills.  Must be able to learn independently and to contribute to resolving group technical problems.Must have at least 10 + years of experience in design, implementation, and audit / review of systems applications, and codeExtensive Java, JEE n-tier application experience (ApplicationExperience in design, implementation, and audit / review of enterprise wide, large scale implementationsKnowledge of, and experience with, WAS, AngularJS 1.2 or higher, JavaScript EE6 or higher, Java 7 and higher, CSS, AJAX, JSON, Bootstrap, NodeJS, XML, Servlet and JSPExperience with SOAP/REST web service developmentExperience in SpringExperience with WebSphere Application server is required.BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related work experience requiredAdditional Pluses:Familiarity with IBM BPM workflow, and ODM Rules EnginesFamiliarity with IBM MQ message queuesFamiliarity with tools such as GIT, SVN, JIRA and MavenFamiliarity with TomcatSkill in writing specifications that other programmers can use to code data interfaces, user interfaces and workflowsKnowledge of AML or KYC is big plusExperience in the financial services industry is a plus.
