Full Stack Javascript Engineer

Location: Hybrid (3 days in office per week) in Allen, TX only

To help us continue to grow our offerings, We are looking for an Engineer 2. In this role, you will deliver business value by designing and developing high-quality software in a highly collaborative environment.  This role reports to the Engineering Manager or Engineering Director.

Compensation Range: $90,000 - $120,000, depending on location.

Compensation ranges are determined by role and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the pay range for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

 

What You’ll Do:

Contribute to the design, development, testing, maintenance, and improvement of scalable software systems with a focus on high-volume, low-latency projects. Apply standard techniques and limited judgment to solve complex problems, with increased autonomy and responsibility. Perform advanced debugging, write automated testing scripts, and identify opportunities for refactoring code. Collaborate across teams, coordinating development efforts and sharing knowledge with peers to ensure project success. Continuously improve code quality by writing efficient, high-quality, and testable Javascript/Typescript code using frameworks such as React, Jest and Playwright. Analyze technical requirements and contribute to solutions that drive performance, scalability, and efficiency.

 

What You’ll Bring:

Strong programming skills with experience in Javascript languages and frameworks. Proficiency in debugging, writing automated tests, and solving technical challenges independently or with minimal supervision. A collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively across teams. Initiative in learning new technologies, developing expertise in your area of focus, and contributing to continuous improvement in processes and code quality. Accountability for your work, with a focus on meeting performance metrics such as GitHub contributions, velocity, and DORA benchmarks for software reliability and efficiency. Minimum Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science or a related technical field. 2-4 years of experience in software development, specifically in Javascript/Typescript environments. Experience with Node.js and web application development skills using React, Vue or Svelte. Experience testing code with Jest and Playwright Familiarity with the application deployment lifecycle using automated pipelines (CI/CD). Some Edge Worker experience such as Cloudflare Workers or AWS Lambdas. Comfort with using IDEs like VS Code or WebStorm and experience with debugging. Experience with software version control, preferably using Git and GitHub.

 

Work Environment & Physical Demands: 

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer will be required. This role consistently operates standard office equipment such as computers and phones. This is largely a sedentary role but may occasionally require lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending, or standing as necessary.
