Full-time 2nd Shift Supervisor, Pharmacy Technician - Health And Wellness Non-Store Operations

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Walmart Specialty Pharmacy is a one-off business unit within Walmart; specialized in the delivery of low/limited distributed pharmaceuticals to patients throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Unlike a traditional or retail pharmacy, Specialty Pharmacy manages and distributes life sustaining medicines to patients with extremely challenging illnesses. We are predominately a patient contact center, but also operate a fully functional pharmacy with an entire team of pharmacy professionals. While we are not patient facing, we are fully engaged with our customers, patients, and medical practitioners throughout the country.

We are hiring a Supervisor, Pharmacy Technician for our Specialty Pharmacy department in Orlando, Florida. This position is not remote and requires working onsite. The work schedule will be Monday through Friday from 10am-7pm or 12pm-9pm to reflect operational needs. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties as assigned and/or necessary.

Schedule: Must be available to work the hours of 10am-7pm or 12pm-9pm Monday through Friday (with rotating Saturdays). 

Minimum Qualifications:

Holds an active/valid registration with the State of Florida

2 Years of experience in customer service-related duties

Knowledge about Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Email etiquette

Job Description:

Resolves medication and insurance issues by processing insurance rejection claims; calling customers and physicians to relay issues and concerns; calling insurance carriers to resolve rejections; coordinating insurance billing (for example, third-party prescriptions); and collaborating with the Quality Assurance team.

Manages reports (for example, production report, insurance, inventory) by creating and distributing reports; monitoring logs (for example, cleaning, temperature); and ensuring data accuracy.

Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs

Identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.

Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; and ensuring diversity awareness.

Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.

The hourly wage range for this position is $15.63-$26.68*

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
