Full-Time Instructional Faculty for the Touro University Physician Assistant Program located in Illinois, under the supervision of the Program Director and Director of Clinical Education, is responsible for the management and evaluation of the program’s clinical components. The Instructional Faculty member will work 36.5 hours per week. We are seeking an individual with an advanced degree and some experience in academia is preferred. This role is designed for an individual who may not be a Physician Assistant, but rather contribute to the program through their expertise in areas such as advisement, coordination, and management. This includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
ResponsibilitiesAssists the Director of Clinical Education with the following:
Maintain accreditation by coordinating the efforts of the PA Program to meet and/or exceed the ARC-PA Standards.Scheduling required and elective five-week clinical clerkshipsEnsuring proper paperwork is distributed to clinical sites.Assignment and supervision of CallbackMaintaining ongoing records of each student in Exxat platformTeaching:
Instruct first year and second year students in the following:Lecturing in area of expertiseAdvising second year studentsReviewing and grading master’s projectsCurriculum:
Monitor evaluation of learning outcomesCreate and review clinical examsCommittee Service:
Will participate on appropriate committees (as schedule allows) as requested by the Program Director.Participates in reaccreditation and program evaluation activities as deemed appropriate by the Program Director.
