Plumber - Samaritan Hospital
The Plumber/ Welder position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of hospital sanitary, steam, potable water, storm, steam, condensate return, fire protection systems and coordinating projects with contractor/s.
Performs code complaint plumbing and heating repairs and installations:
Proficient use of steam tableFamiliar with pipe class, fittings and appropriate usesAble to access construction drawings and troubleshoot sanitary, steam, condensate and potable water systemInsulate pipe ½” to 6”Applies all appropriate safety and health standardsRequisition partsProficient at installing cast iron no HUB, high medium and low pressure steam, bell and spigot sanitary, copper silver soldering, mechanical joint, flange, PVC and screwed pipe and fittings.Performs plumbing associated PM tasks:
Check pneumatic actuatorsTest and inspects all fire protection equipmentMonitor and check operating perimeters on mechanical equipmentPM all equipment associated with potable water systems including both floor prevention, water storage tank control/isolation, emergency H20 tanker operation and isolation, PM and monitoring of PH and AgCu controlled systemPM steam heat exchangersTest steam trapsTest PRV stationsPM domestic water tanksPM faucets, sinks, flush valvesAccess, record history on PM systemProficient use of energy management system:
Access/troubleshoot domestic water and steam systemsAccess and override all points on systemProficient in system maintenance:
Troubleshoot and repair vacuum condensate pumps, water pumpsInstall fire protection systemsProficient at torch brazing, pipe soldering, arc welding, aluminum weldingProficient at using small hand tools, drill press, band saw and other power toolsProficient at minor riggingRepair steam traps, PRV stationsRepair replace faucets, sinks, toilets, flush valvesProficient use of sanitary system power auger equipmentRepair different variety of pumpsWhat You Will Need:
High School Graduate, technical Certification preferred Experience 2-3 years of commercial plumbingPay range: $22.25-$27.42
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
