**UPMC Passavant is hiring a Full Time Daylight Mobility Care Attendant to support our 6 South Surgical Oncology Unit.** The Care Attendant Mobility Technician provides care support for the Surgical Oncology population by routinely performing the UPMC core responsibilities and demonstrating the values. With the direction of the Leadership team this role paired with Physical and Occupational therapy will assess and plan daily treatment for patients. This may include: + Assisting in with making assessments of patient’s physical conditions, coaching and ambulating patients according to their individual plans, implementing ideas for comfort and restorative healing, recording daily progress and evaluating regularly at checkpoints of care. + Other duties include maintaining a safe patient environment, including safety checks, keeping patient rooms clean. + Interacts and attends to patients and families on regular basis. + Provides fall prevention, observation, bed making, ADLs (bathing, feeding, transporting, toileting, ambulating, turning/repositioning). Assists with I&O, weights. If no previous patient care training, successful completion of UPMC care attendant(sitter) training program is required Knowledge of body mechanics and transfer techniques. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:** Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) + Act 34 + **UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran**
