The Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center is pleased to announce that it is currently seeking outstanding applicants for four tenure-track appointments to its full-time faculty starting in August 2025. The law school welcomes applications from candidates interested in teaching Property, Business Organizations, Trusts and Estates, Tax, and Evidence. Ideals candidates must have a J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school and a commitment to teaching in an environment dedicated to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students. We look for innovative faculty with a preference for both practice and teaching experience. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to service to legal education and to the wider community as well as a desire to engage in the intellectual life of the Law Center. ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prepare and teach graduate-level law student courses in a physical classroom and/or a virtual classroom as assigned and scheduled by the Associate Dean for Academic AffairsPrepare course materials such as syllabi, assessments, final examinations, assignments and handoutsTimely grade student assessments, exams, assignments, etc. and provide meaningful feedback to studentsMaintain regularly scheduled office hours in order to advise and assist studentsMeet regularly with assigned student adviseesMaintain accurate student recordsMaintain a regular physical presence at the Law CenterStay current in and continually strive to improve teaching skills and expertise in the subjects that they teachStay informed of changes in the law and remain current in recent statutory changes and case law developmentsCollaborate with colleagues to address teaching and research issuesEngage in legal research and produce innovative legal scholarshipEngage in service to legal education and to the wider communityEngage in the intellectual life of the Law CenterParticipate on faculty and University committeesAttend faculty meetings and Law Center and student eventsOther duties as assigned by the Dean and/or Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Qualifications Education/ ExperienceJuris Doctor requiredJ.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school Preference for both legal practice and teaching experienceKnowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
