Fully Remote Electrical Engineer
We are currently hiring a FULLY REMOTE Electrical Engineer for a small MEP firm in the NYC area! MUST live in NYC/CT area to be considered for this position. About the Role: + Plan and develop electrical and fire alarm systems design for new and existing facilities + Assess and modify existing power distribution system + Coordinate electrical services with other building elements such as mechanical, architectural & structural + Sizing Cables, Circuit protective devices, Panel Boards and Conduits and Pathways + Perform calculations including but not limited to total system Voltage Drop and Short Circuit Calculations and Coordination Studies. + Troubleshoot relay and data system design + Research and specification of electrical components for optimal design to meet project goals + Perform peer review and analysis of drawings, specifications, reports and studies prepared by other electrical engineers to ensure compliance with codes and standards Qualifications: + Minimum 4 year degree (BS) in electrical engineering + Minimum 5+ years previous experience in electrical engineering design for building systems in the USA + Familiarity with electrical codes and standards including NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 72, NYS/NYC Construction Codes + Proficiency in use of AutoCAD and Revit Additional Skills & Qualifications: + E.I.T or P.E Preferred Experience Level: + Intermediate Level About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
