Functional Analyst (Fleet)

Our client requires a Functional Analyst to provide senior level functional/system support, business analysis and system based analytical services for Fleet Services. 

Other responsibilities include identify and elicit requirements, evaluate the current and future state processes, identify, and evaluate system-based requirements, and identify and address gaps.  

This position is designated as a ‘hybrid position’ which requires the resources to work at the office (with occasional work taking place at other Client facilities) at least 20% of the week. An expectation to work at the New Westminster location and travel to other client locations in the Greater Vancouver Area as requested at consultant’s expense. Resource shall be available during the Clients standard business office hours between 7:30AM–5PM Pacific Standard Time.   

Mandatory Requirements Advanced knowledge (5+ years) of solution and functional analysis, and process improvement. Recent experience in business analysis, supporting enterprise applications within an IT environment, utilizing best practices and frameworks like ITIL, Modern Service Management, Lean, DevOps, and Agile. Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, interpersonal, organization, and writing skills. Ability to gather, analyze, and consolidate information from a variety of sources (i.e. documents, interviews, brainstorming sessions etc.). Proven track record of working with business stakeholders to identify, assess, document, and recommend solutions that meet requirements. Ability to work with technical analysts/advisors and translate these business requirements into detailed system specifications. Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, supervisors, subject matter experts and end users. Ability to work collaboratively, professionally, and effectively with the project team, the business stakeholders, and the end users. Knowledge and experience with the standard MS Office tools including Microsoft Visio (must be proficient) Excellent oral and written communication skills. Desirable Requirements

• Experience with Transit Systems is highly desirable.
• Experience working in a complex union environment is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or computer science, or related education
