PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Functional IT Leader, Transportation and Warehouse is responsible for the successful execution of our transportation and warehouse supply chain processes and operations within Owens Corning. The successful candidate must be knowledgeable in logistics functions, an expert in several sub-functions of logistics, as well as possessing a strong service delivery background. This role will require leadership of a group transportation and warehouse technology professionals, internal and external, to creatively reimagine our technologies and the way we execute our technology implementations to deliver solutions that enable simple, standard, and automated processes with speed
Reports to: Director, GIS – Supply Chain Technologies
Span of Control: People leader; approximately 6 direct reports and numerous contractors
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowing Our Businesses and their Strategies
Provide transportation and warehouse leadership for business platform implementations globally. Partner with OC transportation and warehouse business leads and GBS leads to plan and lead the efforts required to successfully deploy new businesses and/or upgrade existing businesses to our warehouse and transportation solutions. Ensure our business partners employ effective supply chain processes; understand gaps in existing processes and provide input into how our technology can be used to bridge them. Provide relevant technology insight to the project and operational portfolios. Maintain partnerships with the logistics functions and be a key IT resource to provide guidance and support. Subject matter expert for transportation and warehouse processes including supply chain data integration.
Develop and Execute the Strategy
Drive the IT Transportation and Warehouse Portfolio.
Manages the creation and timely updates of project plans and supporting tools (resource planning, tasks, department budgets, milestones and deliverables) across logistics functions. People Leadership of the GIS Warehouse and Logistics team; provide coaching and guidance for each member of the team that relates to their own yearly objectives and growth opportunities. Be a partner to other members of the GIS Supply Chain team; provide education on technical solutions as required to ensure work being delivered considers how supply chain technologies may be impacted. Lead team meetings and provide a technical voice to increase awareness across the broader team. Optimizes the scalable delivery model using standardized work, optimal resource blend and clear project assignments.
Deploy and Maintain Sustainable and Scalable Transportation and Warehouse Solutions
Have a level of technical depth in logistics systems that demonstrates functional understanding of the platforms in our landscape and how they interact with other platforms. Subject matter expertise in SAP TM or S/4 TM embedded, SAP Logistics Execution, MM and SD functions and technology. Partner with Solution, Domain, and Enterprise Architects to leverage all facets of our technology to deliver high-value, low-cost solutions. Be a technology partner and consultant for third party partners ensuring all solutions meet OC standards. Lead transportation platform migrations and implementations, associated technologies, and integration points with other functions and systems Identify and coordinate the development and testing of new processes and/or the enhancement of existing processes with our partners. Coordinate with technical partners and the business functional lead for transportation regarding applicable development, testing, training and support scenarios.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree required, post-graduate degree, or equivalent experience, preferred in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Technology Minimum of 10 years of experience within Information Technology industry Minimum of 7 years of experience with SAP Logistics Execution, Sales & Distribution Minimum of 5 years of experience with SAP Transportation Management Prior SAP/ECC.6.0 or SAP S/4 HANA and TM 9.0 and greater or S/4 Embedded TM/Side Car deployment experience in all phases of the ASAP methodology. Competent in project management theory, knowledge, skills, tools and techniques Previous people leadership experience is required.
Experience, Knowledge, and Abilities
Proven ability to identify, own, and prioritize tasks to meet project milestones. Prior experience with SAP TM Event Manager preferred. Experience in S/4 HANA Transformation project is preferred.
