Functional Lead - Procurement & Supply Chain Management
Job description:We are looking for a Procurement Supply Chain Functional Lead to join our team in Toronto, who would support client facing delivery on Procurement Supply Chain engagements and sales pursuits across Canada. The consultant will lead the implementation and optimization of the procure-to-pay and supply chain processes within an organization. This would encompass everything from purchasing goods or services to the payment of suppliers, materials receipt to issuances, inventory and returns management. The consultant's role is to ensure that these processes are efficient, effective, and compliant with business requirements, using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP, Microsoft D-365 or others.Location: Toronto, OntarioKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Business Process Mapping Requirements Gathering.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the current procure-to-pay and supply chain processes.

- Gather detailed business requirements related to procurement, invoicing, supplier management, and payment processes.

- Map out and document the existing P2P and Supply Chain processes, identifying pain points and areas for improvement.System Implementation Configuration: - Provide functional expertise during ERP system implementation or upgrades, ensuring the P2P and Supply Chain modules are aligned with business goals. - Work with technical teams to ensure seamless integration with other business modules (e.g., finance, inventory, accounts payable)Solution Design Process Improvement:

- Design solutions to streamline and optimize P2P and Supply Chain processes for improved efficiency and compliance.

- Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual work and errors in the procurement, inventory planning, and payment cycle. - Advise on best practices for procurement strategies, supplier management, purchase order processing, and invoice handling.Testing Training: - Lead or participate in testing phases to ensure the solution works as expected, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT). - Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end users to ensure they understand the P2P and SCM system functionalities. - Provide guidance and support to users during the implementation phase and post-implementation.Data Analysis Reporting: - Ensure accurate data management within the P2P and SCM system, helping with the tracking of purchases, payments, and supplier performance. - Work with business analysts to create dashboards and reports that provide insights into procurement performance, supplier issues, and financial data. - Analyze P2P and SCM metrics and KPIs to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvements.Vendor and Stakeholder Management: - Collaborate with suppliers, procurement and supply chain teams, finance departments, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth end-to-end process execution. - Resolve any issues related to supplier invoices, payments, and purchase orders in coordination with relevant teams. - Act as a liaison between business users and the technical teams for system-related queries.Compliance Risk Management: - Ensure that procurement and payment processes comply with internal policies, external regulations, and industry standards. - Identify and mitigate risks in the P2P and SCM process related to fraud, supplier relationships, and payment discrepancies.Post-Implementation Support: - Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting after the system has been deployed. - Analyze feedback from users and suggest improvements or optimizations for the P2P and SCM process.Mentorship Leadership: - Mentor junior consultants and other team members. - Provide guidance and support in their professional development. - Lead by example, promoting best practices within the team.Business Development: - Contribute to growing the firm’s business by identifying new opportunities within existing accounts. - Support sales efforts by preparing proposals, presentations, and engaging with potential clients. - Help with market research and competitive analysis to identify new business trends.Required Skills:Experience: Minimum of 7-9 years of prior management consulting experience with hand-on project delivery experience in client facing capacityFunctional Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of procurement and supply chain operations, accounts payable, supplier management, and payment processing.System Expertise: Experience in configuring and using procurement and finance modules of ERP software, particularly in a P2P and SCM context.Project Management: Ability to manage multiple workstreams and collaborate across different functional teams to implement or improve P2P and SCM solutions.Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify inefficiencies, potential risks, and areas for process improvement.Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with cross-functional teams and clients.Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships with clients, team members, and stakeholders.Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks efficiently.Adaptability to a variety of industries, business cultures, and client needs.Nice to Have:• Industry / Domain Expertise: Often requires specific knowledge related to Hospitality Hotels Sector"Life at Capgemini
