Functional Safety Engineer

Job Purpose

 

EnerSys is looking for a Software Safety Engineer to contribute to the development of critical systems by conducting analyses to guide architectural choices, with the aim of reducing potential security risks, based on applicable standards and internal processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

The Software Safety Engineer is responsible for conducting functional safety analysis during the development of a critical system.

 

Responsible for producing requirements and analyses to support the design team in achieving a satisfactory technical solution Responsible for ensuring proper adherence to functional safety processes Ensures continuous and effective communication with project teams during development phases Responsible for reporting the progress of functional safety activities to the project manager Acts as the main point of contact with the supplier regarding functional safety requirements Responsible for presenting and defending the functional safety approach during the certification phase Qualifications

 

Degree and/or Level of Experience: Master's degree (or higher) in fields related to embedded systems development.

 

Fluent in English and French Strong knowledge of OS Safety (AUTOSAR or equivalent) Experience with safety-critical projects Knowledge of ISO standards (e.g., 13849, 26262) Experience in coordination Soft skills: Good communication, pedagogical skills, assertiveness, adaptability
