Kforce has a client that is seeking a Fund Accountant in Boston, MA. Summary: We are looking for a dedicated Fund Accountant to join our Mutual Fund Conversion Team. This role is critical in converting outside clients onto our platforms and implementing robust processes and controls to meet daily production requirements. The Fund Accountant will establish and maintain fund and account profiles in our accounting system, ensuring accurate and timely service delivery while upholding a high level of client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: * Process fund events, including client conversions, fund launches, closures, mergers, in-kind transactions, and asset transitions, while completing standard reconciliations * Maintain strong knowledge of mutual fund accounting, including general ledger accounting (trial balance, sub-ledgers, balance sheet vs. income statement) and assess downstream impacts of complex fund events * Collaborate effectively with clients, client service representatives, global hubs, utility groups, and operations teams to manage the conversion of daily fund accounting services within specified timeframes * Provide support during conversions, including planning and testing prior to events * Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to a dynamic environment and accommodate changes in workloads and requirements * Execute ad-hoc reconciliations of external and internal trial balances, general ledgers, cash, and assets * Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze and manage financial data effectively
