Overview 

Neuberger Berman is looking for a Fund Controller to take responsibility for the fund accounting and operations of a number of Italian and Luxembourg funds, reporting to the Head of Finance Luxembourg.

Responsibilities:

Governance & Control

Oversight of third party vendors (fund administration/depositary/etc)Ownership of cash and capital managementEnsure all regulatory and statutory financial submissions are completed appropriately and on timeEstablish and enhance the processes and procedures, working with the wider finance teams.

Operational Accounting

Responsibility for managing the fund operational processes (capital call/distribution/etc) with outsourced providersEnsure fund financial information is communicated appropriately to the outsourced providers, quarterly valuations, recoverable from funds, etc.Review of key balance sheet accountsPreparation of interim and annual financial statementsProduction of monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting

Requirements:

Fluent in English and Italian as an advantageQualified accountant, fund accounting experience (preferable  8-10 years post qualifications)Confident, with the ability to deal with multiple internal clientsHighly organized, adherence to internal deadlines and appropriate escalation any issuesSelf-starter, able to work independently whilst ensuring engagement with the wider finance teamAdvanced excel skills
