Job Summary: 

The Portfolio Manager role involves supporting the evaluation, assessment, and management of asset allocated investment strategies. Responsibilities include conducting performance attribution to identify key drivers of returns, collaborating with internal teams such as sales, enterprise management, and trading, and acting as a subject matter expert for the specific programs managed. The individual will prepare detailed reports and updates for quarterly reviews, including performance attribution and portfolio changes.

Key duties also include overseeing portfolio adjustments, providing clear instructions to the trading team, and updating institutional clients and advisors. The individual will be an active participant in the company’s Portfolio Management Committee, contributing to the oversight of all managed solutions. Additionally, the role involves maintaining custom enterprise universes, conducting manager searches for portfolio inclusion, analyzing model accounts for drift, and performing ad hoc analysis for special projects. The position also requires collaboration with other Portfolio Managers to assess asset class outlooks and inform portfolio construction strategies.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare information for Portfolio Management Directors to evaluate and assess performance of strategies & managers held within the programs’ models.  Evaluate and assess for the limited programs that they led.
Conduct performance attribution to determinant sources of return within the models
Serve as liaison between Portfolio Manager Team and internal teams, providing operationally and research support to our sales team, enterprise management and trading teams.  Serve as subject matter expert for the limited programs that they led.
Position will be primarily dedicated to High Net Worth program that delivers customized investment solutions to advisors/clients.
Prepare information for quarterly reviews detailing performance attribution and program updates.
Prepare portfolio change information to enact on the platform; instructions to trading team and written updates about the changes to institutional clients and advisors.
Active member of the company’s portfolio management committee, which oversees all managed solutions for Envestnet|PMC.
Actively maintain custom enterprise universes, working with the Portfolio Manager and research team to conduct new manager searches for portfolio inclusion.
Analyze model accounts for drift and rebalance as needed.
Conducting ad hoc analysis and reports for various special projects.
Work with other Portfolio Managers to determine medium term asset class outlook that guides portfolio construction.
Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.  
As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk

Required Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business or a related field.
Must have at least (3) years of financial services experience with investment management or research responsibilities.
Must be highly organized, possess strong attention to detail, and demonstrate the ability to work under pressure.
Must be able to adjust to changing priorities.
Must be flexible, well organized, and assertive in order to complete multiple tasks and meet the demands placed on his/her time.
Must exhibit strong organizational and analytical skills.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Morningstar Direct.

Preferred Qualifications: 

MBA, CFA, or other applicable degree/certification
Prior portfolio management and/or mutual fund/separate accounts research

Salary:

The annual base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $150,000.
