About the Position
The Director of Hospice Giving reports directly to the Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) and also is a member of the Goodwin Hospice Team. This position assists the CPO in the planning and implementation of the Foundation’s fundraising program as the primary person responsible for overseeing all aspects of the giving program associated with Goodwin Hospice.
Job Duties
+ Work with the CPO and other members of the GLF team to establish fundraising goals and to develop an operational plan that will meet goals annually.
+ Create solicitation and stewardship publications, as well as developing an engaging presence on our website for all potential hospice donors.
+ Manage a portfolio of 75 potential donors in order to build relationships which foster engagement and result in successful outcomes.
+ Work with the Director of Foundation Operations to manage the gift acknowledgment process for all hospice gifts to the Foundation.
+ Works closely with the Executive Director of Goodwin Hospice and the Hospice team to build trust and collaboration in their work to secure funding and maintain relationships.
Job Preferences and Requirements
+ Strong communication (written and verbal) and relationship-building skills are critical.
+ Experience working within a hospice setting.
+ Professional fundraising experience in individual relationship building and gift solicitation.
+ Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge, PG Calc, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other software.
