Fundraising Systems Analyst/Full Time/Detroit
SUMMARY Under the direction of the Manager, Gift Administration and Information Services, the Systems Analyst is responsible for creating and generating reports, writing queries, data integrity, staff training, data entry and management, gift exporting/importing, and integration with external databases and systems. This position works closely with Major Gifts Officers, the Annual Giving team, senior Development Office staff and other HFHS staff in various departments. Report Writing and Data Exports: Maintain a reporting system to measure the fundraising activity of the Development Office. Assess needs and develop reports for use in analyzing mailings, donor acquisition and fundraising efforts for Development Office staff. Data Imports and Data Entry Manage data uploads into philanthropic database from internal HFHS sources and data integration from external systems (i.e. PeopleSoft, ResearchPoint, Wealth Engine, NCOA etc). Monitor and maintain data integrity for Development Office database. This position works with others on the Gift Administration and Information Services team to efficiently enter, manage and monitor the integrity of gift and constituent information. Software and Application Management Responsible for training Development Office and Events department personnel on the functionality of the donor database and reporting systems through in-person and written instructions. Interacts with front-end users and management on the appropriate utilization of the system to achieve correct results. Assists with the design, coding, testing and implementation of application software programs. Assists in the installation of vendor upgrades, testing code and interfaces as needed. Web site maintenance: Assist with the management of the Development Office web-site presence, both Internet and Intranet. Monitor sites for accurate and current content. Manage fundraising event websites using Blackbaud Net Community software, Luminate Online and other web platforms. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE + High School Diploma required. + A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or three or more years of related experience with a fundraising database such as Raiser’s Edge is preferred. + Knowledge and understanding of the query, export and mail merge functionality of Raiser’s Edge is strongly preferred. + Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel and Word is desirable. + Must have excellent organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and be guided by organizational mission and the desire to raise money in the context of the mission.
