The Furnace Operator produces gas atomized powders, at the correct size, and quality necessary to achieve world class coating and printing products.

Requirements

Reads, understands and uses Product Manufacturing Instructions (PMI’s), Job-Safety Analysis’ (JSA), and melt production schedule to accomplish daily production tasks Safely operates atomization equipment (i.e. Atomizer, blenders, vacuum equipment, power cabinet, overhead crane, forklift, etc.) Performs basic math including percentages to calculate and weigh out materials Repairs and cleans furnaces Tracks data and updates charts for the department Performs simple, in-process quality tests to determine material status Uses database management tools such as Oracle, eAM, etc. Other Duties Assigned
