**Job Title: Vacuum Atomization Furnace Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to assist in the set-up, operation, and maintenance of a vacuum atomization furnace. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning, monitoring, and securing tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the furnace and related equipment. **Responsibilities** + Perform various cleaning, monitoring, and securing operations to assist in the set-up of a vacuum atomization furnace. + Work from verbal and written instructions to perform repetitive tasks before, after, and during the atomization process. + Assist in preparing raw material charges, operating the furnace control board, making minor repairs on the furnace, atomization chamber, and other auxiliary equipment. + Clean the atomization chamber and carry out housekeeping duties. + Assist in the removal and replacement of furnace lid and coils, cleaning the interior of the furnace chamber and 'O' ring seal. + Clean raw material charges and transport them to the charge area. + Assist in attaching and detaching gas, electric, and water lines to the furnace lid and tank as directed. + Use an electric hoist to remove and replace the furnace lid from the furnace chamber. + Clean inside of crucibles, patch cracks, and perform other repair tasks on crucibles prior to the next run. + Adhere to CORE guidelines and perform CORE duties as required. + Follow all EH&S guidelines, including wearing required personal protective equipment, such as a respirator and mask. + Carry out additional tasks within the scope and skill level of this position to support department objectives and develop personal skills. + Work overtime when needed. **Essential Skills** + General labor + Production + Maintenance + Machine operation + General production + Repair **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma or Equivalent + U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required + Ability to work from heights up to 60 feet + Ability to wear a respirator + Physically capable of bending, lifting, squatting, twisting, overhead reaching, standing on feet for up to 8 hours, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 25 lbs. independently **Why Work Here?** Join a team where your skills and dedication are highly valued.
