Description
Job Summary: The Furniture Specialist will support Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired’s rapidly growing furniture business. The position will support our VIE Ability design and sales team on our commercial and government furniture projects.
The Furniture Specialist will be responsible for merchandise tracking, billing/invoicing, purchasing, project scheduling, damages/missing items and other clerical/operational duties associated with the furniture program.
Duties/Responsibilities:
+ Provide excellent customer service by responding to inbound/outbound emails/calls with the highest standards of professionalism. Consistently and accurately maintains records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken.
+ Create Purchase Orders
+ Order Tracking
+ Updating Excel spreadsheets (project books, damages, invoicing)
+ Review acknowledgements
+ Track shipments
+ Handle damage/missing items claims
+ Track and record invoicing (incoming) for projects
+ Track and record billing for projects
+ Work with project manager/sales to schedule project installations
+ Customer Service/Problem Solving
+ Vendor relations
+ Research and purchase furniture products to meet customer order requirements
+ Perform operational duties such as purchasing, data input, sorting, tracking, and reporting.
+ Provide accounting support such as invoicing and purchase order reconciliation.
+ Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive customer and company information.
+ Promotes a positive team environment and communicates regularly with staff and management to ensure a clear understanding of CABVI goals.
+ Contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Communications Center by performing other tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
+ Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
+ 1-3 years of experience providing transferrable skills Customer service or clerical experience centered on computer interaction. Computer experience should include proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel) and internet search functions.
+ Interior design background a plus

+ Ability to multitask a must
+ Interpersonal skills that include active listening & prompt response.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Must be team oriented, have a strong work ethic, and be able to meet deadlines
+ Ability to perform computer skills with speed and accuracy.
+ Ability to spend extended periods of time seated at a computer.
+ Hybrid or remote work opportunitymay be given consideration once beyond a successful initial training period.
