Future Skills is a sub team of the Talent Acquisition & Mobility (TA&M) Centre of Expertise (CoE). Our global team operates within a matrix organisation spanning five regions, our other global functions, and over 30 countries to deliver integrated talent acquisition and mobility initiatives that empower and inspire our members. The role will report to the Global Head of Future Skills. Watch this short clip to discover how Arup are shaping a better world and how you could be a part of it! **The Opportunity** You will play a key role in identifying and developing the future skills strategy by designing and implementing initiatives to enable the desired workforce transformation. The work is fast paced and highly visible within the global arena and will involve interacting with global senior stakeholders, requiring significant influencing and prioritisation skills. Working across specialist teams, you will coach and enable the delivery of a range of skill identification and intervention projects ensuring we attract, develop, and retain a diverse and high-performing workforce You will – + Implement a Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) framework and methodology to create a skills plan aligning with the business strategy. This includes identifying future skills needs and creating detailed near-term demand plans to inform Talent Acquisition strategies. + Create a roadmap to scale SWP enterprise wide, including making strategic recommendations on system capabilities, toolkits, and delivery methods. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SWP, identifying areas for process improvements. + Scope opportunities for workforce re- and upskilling to drive a 'build' mindset, enabling workforce agility, mobility, and career development. + Identify opportunities to embed future skills into a global Early Careers programme framework. Based off of this, direct the design and development of Early Careers programmes, working with subject matter experts in Apprenticeships, Graduates, and Internships. + Working with the Candidate Experience, Candidate Attraction, and Regional TA Delivery teams to embed EDI commitments through future skills programmes, promoting social mobility and community engagement initiatives. + Identify and develop relationships with key partners aligned the Future Skills strategy, including apprentice trailblazers, universities, external bodies, and industry leaders. Foster these relationships to position Arup as a thought leader in the future skills space and represent the company at events, conferences, and speaking opportunities. + Collaborate with the Talent, Management and Learning functions to establish a core link to the future skills agenda. Evidence of driving a truly strategic approach to projects with a track record of developing and completing initiatives with return on investment in this space. + Demonstrate significant management experience with the ability to influence and engage members at all levels of the organization. Proven ability as a thought leader in designing innovative solutions to drive the right business outcome, taking others on the change journey. + Experience in one or more of Emerging Talent/Early Careers, Talent Acquisition, or Mobility to successfully embed SWP within a broader Talent agenda, would be an advantage. + Are naturally collaborative. Excellent collaboration skills are essential, with exposure to working cross-functionally and partnering with wider People Partnering teams, Talent and Learning, and business leaders alike. + Can confidently understand data, with the ability to distil complex information into simple narrative through dialogue, papers, and presentations. Options for alternative schedules and the ability to work outside of the office for a portion of your workweek are available New Jersey Hiring Range – Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in New Jersey is $139,000 to $170,000 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary.
