KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
Thorough knowledge of MCPS Policies and Procedures for school library media programs and MCPS Administrative Regulation EDA-RA: School Library Media Centers. Knowledge of effective instructional practices and understanding of the teaching/learning process. Knowledge of current instructional and research technologies and the ability to integrate these into the library media program and throughout the curriculum. Ability to work effectively with administrators, staff, students and community. Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERIENCE:
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in school library media, with media generalist specialization and course work in curriculum and special education. Completion of a practicum or two years of successful teaching or two years of successful media-related experience.
