G-Drive Sales Manager - South Africa
**DESCRIPTION** We are looking for a talented **G-Drive Sales Manager** to join our team specializing in **Sales** for our **Power Generation Department** in **Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.** **In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:** + Identify and Develop Opportunities: You’ll prospect and develop new business opportunities, driving growth within your assigned territory or market segment. + Build and Execute Account Plans: Independently create and implement account plans to build strong customer relationships and achieve sales goals. + Increase Sales: By identifying, researching, and contacting prospective customers, you’ll develop opportunities to boost sales. + Strengthen Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain new and existing customer relationships to understand their needs and offer tailored Cummins solutions. + Negotiate and Manage Accounts: Conduct negotiations, assist with collections, and maintain acceptable levels of past due accounts, ensuring smooth financial operations. + Achieve Sales Targets: Drive sales to meet targets, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering repeat business. + Utilize Sales Tools and Processes: Consistently use the Cummins Sales Process and tools like Customer Relationship Management to support sales and customer value. + Mentor and Lead: Provide leadership and mentoring to less experienced account executives, contributing to the overall success of the team. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **To be successful in this role you will need the following:** + Strong Relationship Management Skills: Develop and manage relationships with key G-Drive accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. + Effective Sales and Negotiation Skills: Prospect new customers, conduct regular sales visits, and negotiate and close sales for both existing and new products. + Proficiency in Sales Pipeline and Forecasting: Plan and manage sales strategies based on pipeline health, and accurately forecast future sales by analyzing customer data. + Operational Coordination and Problem-Solving: Manage payments, shipments, and resolve any issues in coordination with factory teams to ensure smooth operations. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Education/ Experience:** + Required: College, university, or equivalent degree in Marketing, Sales or a related subject, or acceptable sales related work experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience. + Intermediate level of relevant work experience required. + This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. **Job** Sales **Organization** Cummins Inc. **Role Category** Hybrid **Job Type** Exempt - Experienced **ReqID** 2405144 **Relocation Package** No
