Position Summary:
G&P East is seeking a senior compliance engineer with a focus on relief valve and relief system design and regulatory compliance. The position’s main role is to develop plans to address non-compliance issues within facilities throughout the East.
Responsibilities:
Position will have an initial primary focus related to flare study recommendation evaluation and resolution. Overall scope of responsibility will include all regulatory compliance action items.
Develop strategies to address risk reduction and MPC compliance timing requirements with an emphasis on:
Consistent resolution across operating facilties within the East
Cost minimization with an emphasis on greatest risk reduction
Evaluation and confirmation of current risk rankings for common issue groupings leading to prioritization of highest risk group recommendations
Intial priority – East wide flare study recommendation evaluation and mitigation strategy development
Monitor and forecast staffing and funding resource requirements for regulatory compliance
Develops compliance plans by researching, analyzing, selecting, and applying compliance engineering concepts, approaches, techniques, and criteria.
Works with external resources to identify novel compliance solutions
Organizes compliance programs by preparing timetables, cost estimates, and required resources while balancing needed personnel and capital needs
Identify demand waves and work to spread human and financial capital requirements to meet organization capabilities
Develops resouces requirements needed to execute compliance plan and champions resouce plan
Prepares and executes regular compliance progress reviews with senior leadership
Researches and identifies applicable regulatory and industry compliance standards and codes to identify potential changes to existing recommendations
Collaborate with process engineering to develop an improved approach to pulling system compliance
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
Ten plus years post-degree experience in a Project Management or Engineering role.
Expertise in relief valve and system design, evaluation, and modification preferred
A valid driver’s license is required.
