Gage and Calibration Technician

Role Summary:

In this role, you will perform documented inspections of gage calibrations and complete day-to-day calibration functions including but not limited to gage receipt verification, calibration and release.
 

Responsibilities Include:

Identify and document non-conformance’s, for Flowserve Raleigh gages.  Work with/alongside customer inspectors/representatives and regulatory individuals as needed.Report results of calibrations on applicable Flowserve documentation with minimal errors.Obtain information and enter in requisitions for purchased items, requested by the Quality Department.Assist with and understand the need for continuous improvement efforts.Assist with Raleigh’s Internal Audit / Monitoring Performance, if needed.Capable of successfully performing calibrations/verifications for internal and external audits as needed.Collaborate as a team, and help other employees with calibrations and calibration knowledge as needed.Maintenance of the Raleigh gage calibration cycles and due date adherence.Maintenance of the Raleigh gage calibration documentation.Work with/alongside various calibration suppliers for outside calibration services.Help with the cross-training of other certified/potentially certifiable gage technicians for continuous improvement of their abilities, to help build and facilitate stronger and more diverse quality department

Requirements:

HS Diploma / GED and 3-5 years of relevant experience in Metrology or Gage CalibrationKnowledge and ability to read and understand drawings, procedures, and applicable calibration standards as necessary.Must have knowledge of inspection equipment generally found in machining, assembly and test operationsFlexible, eager to learn, accurate, analytical with positive, can-do attitudeOperational Excellence & High Level of Customer Service Standard

Preferred Experience / Skills:

Previous manufacturing experienceKnowledge of precision measuring tools in a machining environment
