Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Gage Technician.
The hourly rate for this position is $26.00 per hour. The hours for first shift are as follows; 5:30 am - 2:00 pm.
Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What you’ll do:PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Eaton’s Aerospace Group is currently recruiting for a Gage Setter to work in our Irvine, CA location. This position will be responsible for issuing and maintaining tools to production support employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Perform setup of gages, maintenance and repairs of measuring and test equipment.
• Kit gages for specific production jobs by following FPIP Instructions.
• Follow daily CHIT list for specific jobs to be kitted.
• Use precision measuring equipment, general inspection measuring tools, standard hand tools, records, reports and computer.
• Coordinates the calibration of measuring and test equipment by outside sources.
• Manage gauge calibration program information files including calibration records, inventory, recall periods and history.
• Assist engineering and quality departments in the selection of proper measuring equipment for development and/or purchase.
• Must keep track of all gages going to the shop floor and back to the met lab ,keep up a current inventory list of all gages.
• Follow all 5 S Guidelines.
• Other duties within Machine Shop may be needed on a case by case basis
Basic Qualifications:
• High school graduate or equivalent. Post high school education in engineering, or machining.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Minimum one year working in a manufacturing environment.
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within 50 miles of Irvine, CA will be considered for this position.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous work experience in the Aerospace Industry
• Minimum three (3) years’ previous work experience as a Tool Crib Attendant
