Generative AI Technical Product Leader
About the role: The Generative AI Technical Product Leader is responsible for leading the alignment and strategic direction of GAI capabilities to support the development of advanced GAI solutions across the Elsevier portfolio. The Leader will work directly with product leaders across the business as well as technology leaders to define, drive and deliver on an aligned technology strategy that meets the needs of the portfolio and achieve revenue growth. The role is critical to driving a cohesive GAI strategy for Elsevier that addresses the needs of the collective businesses.
About the team: This person will build a team to help drive the strategic Generative AI Strategy, Vision and Road Map across the the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborating with cross-functional teams in technologies and the business to integrate cutting-edge technologies into portfolio roadmap. Working with the product leaders and members of the Technology leadership team to develop and articulate the strategy and execution roadmap for Technology to meet the needs of the business Coordinating the strategic planning process, mobilizing specialists where required, ensuring timely delivery of solutions Supporting the CTO in the development and articulation of organizational objectives and key results, ensuring alignment across the Technology teams delivering on the GAI strategy Evangelizing and incorporate Responsible AI Principles and AI Ethics in alignment with the overall Elsevier guidelines and policies. Acting as an advocate at speaking engagements and conferences reinforcing Elsevier’s vision and GAI capabilities. Ensuring the Technology organization has the capabilities, processes, tools, training, intelligence, and analytics to maximize performance and deliver results. Supporting the Technology organization with day to day business execution by coordinating the different GAI initiatives, leading ad hoc projects associated with optimization as required Collaborating closely with peers across the matrix to ensure both internal and external customer needs are being met, works with Technology leaders to further develop a culture where the customer is at the heart of what we doRequirements
Demonstrate experience leading product management for highly technical capabilities. Proven track record in driving a strategic initiative and roadmap creation on a similar initiative of this size, scope and complexity.Significant exposure to AI and specifically Generative AI technologies with the ability to work directly with technologists as well as business leaders. Possess the vision to drive our strategy.Possess a natural ability to engage, influence and build relationships and trust with customers, stakeholders and teams across a global-matrixed organization. Demonstrate experience of product innovation, discovery, development and delivery in an Agile environment. Be well versed in methodologies and approaches to drive GAI quality, such as retrieval augmented generation, training, fine tuning, and prompt engineering. Possess experience navigating rapidly changing GAI regulatory landscapes to ensure market access of solutions.Work in a way that works for you
