THE JOB: 

The Gallery of Fine Art Representative is primarily responsible for facilitating ticket sales, will call services, and retail operations, while providing comprehensive information about the Gallery of Fine Art.  Additional responsibilities include delivering exceptional guest service, offering information about properties and events, managing cash handling, and implementing service recovery strategies, all while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.  You will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest’s experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.

THE STARTING PAY RATE:  $15.00 / Per Hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Assist guests with ticket and membership sales, efficiently operating the ticketing system for all transactionsProvide support for gift shop merchandise and accurately handle transactions through the retail systemExplain and enforce gallery rules to visitors while orienting them to exhibitions and interactive elementsReconcile cash and charges from ticket and merchandise sales on a daily basisOpen and close the Gallery Ticket Office as requiredCollect guest information for the gallery’s mailing listSupport the Gallery Manager with will-call tickets, third-party wholesalers, and phone salesContribute to achieving membership and revenue goals established by managementUnder the direction of the Gallery Manager, engage guests with informative and professional tours of the current exhibition, including conducting tours for school groups

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

High school diploma, GED or educational equivalentMust be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidaysPrevious experience working in a museum, art gallery or exhibitComfortable with public speaking and/or speaking to a crowdSix (6) months of previous guest services experienceSix (6) months of cash handling experienceExceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholdersCapable of standing and walking for a majority of the shiftAble to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
