Gaming Commission Agent I
Overview Monitors gaming facility activities for non-compliance relating to internal controls and safety. Performs gaming machine compliance for vendor repairs, upgrades, installs, removals, and relocations. Maintains accurate records for machines. Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT Associates degree from 2-year college or technical school; or two years (60 credit hours) coursework from 4-year college or university; or three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Related educational fields and/or experience can include Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Technology, Math, Science, Finance, Management, Customer Service, Security, Law Enforcement and/or Gaming experience. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS An additional one (1) year related experience is required. Gaming experience is preferred. COMPUTER SKILLS An individual should have knowledge of Database software, Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. Must successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a Cherokee Nation Gaming License throughout employment. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must have effective oral and written communication skills and working knowledge of gaming rules and regulations. Must possess ability to analyze and interpret numerical data, maintain visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time, and be able to perform assigned duties in a highly interruptive conditions. Must abide by Commission confidentiality policies. Must possess the aptitude to perform fingerprinting. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, or sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; or taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Special vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distant vision color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and occasionally exposed to the risk of electric shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
