Overview Responsible for the processing and reporting of licensing and background investigation activities for gaming license applicants as specified in the tribal gaming ordinance. Conducts all investigatory activities in preparation of all reports to be presented to the Commission as assigned for individual and vendor license applicants as required. Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT Associate's degree from 2-year college or technical school; or two years (60 credit hours) coursework from 4-year college or university; or three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Related educational fields and/or experience are business, finance, or legal training. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT No additional experience. COMPUTER SKILLS An individual should have knowledge of Database software; Spreadsheet software; Internet software; and Word Processing software. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. Driver's license is required to be able to perform weekly visits at casinos. Must be able to successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a Cherokee Nation Gaming License throughout employment. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must be detail oriented and be able to perform duties under constant time pressures. Must possess strong organizational, prioritizing, record-keeping, and time management skills. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality, conducts investigative interviews effectively, and have effective communication skills. Must be able to analyze issues objectively and promptly. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
