About the Job

The PR Manager is responsible for executing the voice of the Gap brand and maximising brand awareness  through Traditional and Digital PR and influencer activations. The role lives and breathes new and exciting  opportunities to story tell the brand, knowing what is appropriate for the UK market, what makes the UK  customer shop, whilst maintaining Global brand integrity. They fully understand the customer and are able to  build a PR communications strategy that maximises this behaviour, tapping into the relevant titles, influencers, and partners that the GAP customer interacts with. 

They look at content gaps within both the global and local focuses, to source and develop additional inspiring  locally relevant stories and content with the JV creative team, that is both commercial and innovative. They have a strong  brand lens and are both innovative and creative while constantly reviewing and analysing performance of output on  their activity to recommend and optimise future plans in a quick reactive business. 

 

About You

You live and breathe a fast paced consumer fashion world that plays out on digital and social channels. You are  constantly discovering new, engaging and authentic content, as well as finding new influencers and  tastemakers to work with who could represent the brand and resonate with the different GAP target  demographics. 

You’re also great at influencing, planning and driving out new ways of doing things. You can work with internal  teams and manage external agencies to deliver strong cross-channel communication campaigns. You know  what needs to be communicated when, where and how. You get excited by seeing what works and what  doesn’t on your owned channels, and look for patterns and trends within your learnings, that can then be  implemented quickly to continue to build the brand.

You will be…

PR & Influencer  

Own the UK PR calendar, and plan its activity and content alongside our retained agency Ensure the PR calendar is planned to promote the right messages at the right times, both aligning to campaign launches, product launches and email alignment  PR generation, constantly thinking about pr hooks and opportunities to create news and talkability about the brand Work with the PR agency to build a roster of GAP influencers that we can utilize for different story  opportunities – both paid and organic Local PR & content creation - brainstorm, create and manage content projects based on seasonal and local  market needs Manage briefing process for assets required for GAP owned channels and project  management with external agency or studio team  Strong link in with our PR & influencer agencies to develop engaging content across our social channels  Oversee and own the strategy for all influencer marketing for the business, working closely with relevant  teams to align to content requirements in email and product focuses  Report on any key campaigns reach, emv, engagement and use learnings for future planning  Fully manage influencer agencies (if working with) from briefing through to product selection and  reporting on campaign  Constantly look for new influencers and different categories of them to partner with  Work with the Retail team to arrange and support any in-store press appointments or events that touch store 

 

Administrative Duties 

Support the managing of the influencer budget  Product ordering for social channels, influencer activations and PR  Invoice processing 

 

Reporting 

PR, Influencer and partnership campaign reporting  Post-campaign reporting for local content and / or local projects  Ability to review performance; callout challenges, learnings and key takeaways to action moving forward 

 

Organisational relationships

Works closely with wider marketing team on seasonal and cultural focuses throughout the season to ensure the brand leverages every opportunity across the different channels  Weekly meetings with team members to ensure aligned on all activations  Align weekly with Franchise teams to have a clear view of key product priorities, launch timings, upcoming campaigns and content  Knowledge, skills, and attributes  Proactive in suggesting PR opportunities and ideas to the wider business  Strong relationship building skills to manage effectively all partnerships and interaction within PR & marketing function  Possess strong presentation, listening, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey messages in a clear and concise manner in the appropriate brand voice  Creative and knowledgeable of owned channels – must know and be able to communicate to leadership new editorial titles, influencers and partners Motivated, self-starter who has the ability to multitask and prioritise with excellent time management/organisation skills  Ability to negotiate and deliver projects within budget  Highly flexible in working style to adapt well to a rapidly changing and fast paced environment Excellent ability to clearly communicate ideas to leadership and then integrate feedback/direction
