Summary

Manages the operations of assigned garage. 

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Manages assigned garage staff to include hiring, training, and developing the staff to meet the needs of the department.

Ensures safe working conditions for all associates.

Ensures quality of repairs is in accordance with customer requirements, OEM specifications and DOT regulations.

Manages the department operations to ensure costs are within established operating budgets.

 

Minimum Education

High School Graduate or GED

BS Degree preferred (Management)

Experience Requirements

3 - 5 years 

Understanding of mechanical processes

Understanding of standard software applications

Strong math, communication, analytical and organizational skills

Strong interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of standard computer software applications

Must have a CDL

Experience Preferred Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Able to move freely throughout the garage facility to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 50'), carrying tools and equipment (0-100 pounds), exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available).   Must be able to wear protective equipment.
