More about you
As a Gas Engineer with Places for People you will be expected to ensure all gas appliances and systems owned by the group are serviced and maintained to meet all statutory requirements, customer expectations and group procedures. Our team of Gas Engineers carry out the gas heating and hot water repairs, maintenance and servicing works for our internal and external customers in a safe manner.
As an Engineer will receive daily appointments via handheld device, and you will visit customers with prearranged appointments where you will carry out a variety of work, including service, maintenance and breakdown works as well as completing LGSR's. You will be expected to have excellent fault-finding and breakdown knowledge.
As part of this team you will identify and record any defects found reporting parts/work required following van stock and material ordering procedures. You will maintain the tools, equipment and van provided to you and ensure they are kept in good working order.
Your working days will typically be Monday to Friday. With a requirement for on–call on a rota basis. There may also be overtime available occasionally.
More about your role
To be considered for this role you will hold a relevant technical gas qualification to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent qualification) and also possess all current ACS accreditation in CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1 and HTR1. You will also have experience working in a similar role.
You will have a good understanding of domestic heating systems, a sound knowledge of boiler and control systems including wiring. An understanding of health and safety in the work place is essential for this role. You will see the importance of providing excellent customer care and service and have a positive approach to engaging our customers.
As the successful candidate you will be a highly competent professional who takes pride in their job, possess excellent customer service skills and a full driving licence.
