Job Summary
The Gas System Analyst – Compliance position supports regulatory compliance functions related to gas pipeline inspections, asset management, and damage prevention. These responsibilities include monitoring system and process performance and improving current compliance methodology. The position will support team activities while focusing on safety, compliance, customer satisfaction, and financial responsibility. The Analyst conducts administrative, troubleshooting, and project activities to ensure the Company complies with applicable rules, regulations, laws, and other operational requirements.
Job ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support to work and asset management projects. Support programs and initiatives to maintain compliance with pipeline safety regulations. Perform oversight monitoring within compliance databases and asset management systems. Communicate standards and operational expectations to company personnel and audit work practices for compliance. Participate in state regulatory agency audits, respond to commission inquiries, and support corrective action plans. Evaluate the impact of new pipeline safety regulations and develop procedure change requests. Produce departmental reporting, metrics, budgets, dashboards, and analytics. Develop functional, process, and system documentation.
The successful candidate will be required to make themselves available to accept calls and support gas system and field operations after normal business hours.
Gas System Associate Analyst
Gas System Analyst
Minimum of 2-4 years as Gas System Associate Analyst or experience in a directly related technical field such as gas distribution operations, mapping/GPS applications, corrosion prevention operations, gas system control operations and/or gas distribution code compliance. Demonstrates analytical problem solving skills and effective oral/written communication skills. A sound understanding of gas distribution codes is preferred. Relevant experience is based on the specific role of the position, e.g. Instrumentation and Control, Maps and Records, corrosion and Standards. Specific responsibilities may require particular industry certification such as National Association of Corrosion Engineers – NACE Level 1 certification and Operator Qualification for Gas Control Operations.
Gas System Senior Analyst
Minimum of 7-10 years as Gas System Analyst or experience in a directly related technical field such as gas distribution operations, process control operations, mapping/GPS applications, corrosion prevention operations, gas system control operations and/or gas distribution code compliance. Demonstrates effective analytical problem solving skills and effective oral/written communication skills. Demonstrates a sound understanding of gas distribution codes. Relevant experience is based on the specific role of the position, e.g. Instrumentation and Control, Maps and Records, Corrosion and Standards.Preferred Qualifications Associate degree preferred. Knowledge of computer systems and the ability to use a variety of office software. Knowledge of natural gas construction and field operation practices. Knowledge of gas regulatory codes and standards. Strong communication and organizational skills to present information to a broad audience.

Pay Range Minimum: $32.16
Pay Range Maximum: $63.80
The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
